···PROPHECY OF HIS BIRTHPLACE ···

(GOOD NEWS BIBLE: MICAH 5: 2,4)

The Lord  says, "Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are one of the smallest towns in Judah, but out of you I will bring a ruler for Israel, whose family line goes back to ancient  times. When he comes, he  will  rule his people with the strength that comes from the Lord and with the majesty of the Lord God himself.  His people will live in safety because people all over the earth will acknowledge his greatness, and he will  bring peace.

···THE ANNUNCIATION···
(NIV BIBLE: LUKE 1: 26-36)

In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendent of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Shalom! You who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary. You have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
"How will this be, " Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."

···THE MAGNIFICAT···

(GOOD NEWS BIBLE:  LUKE 1: 46-56)

Mary said,
"My heart praises the Lord; my soul is glad because of God, my Savior,
For he has remembered me, his lowly servant!
From now on all people will call me happy,
Because of the great things the Mighty God has done for me.
His name is holy; from one generation to another he shows mercy to those who honor him.
He has stretched out his mighty arm and scattered the proud with all their plans.
He has brought down mighty kings from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty  hands.
He has kept the promise he made to our ancestors, and has come to the help  of his servant Israel.
He has remembered to show mercy to Abraham and to all his descendants forever!"
